It started with a child asking something nobody had asked out loud.

We set out to make a record with young people. What we found instead was a conversation that had been waiting a long time to happen - between kids carrying questions they hadn't voiced, and elders holding answers nobody had asked for.

Seven generations from Gen Alpha to the Greatest Generation

A unique time, one conversation

We are in a unique time where seven generations can be alive at the same time - seven lifetimes of stories, experiences, mistakes, discoveries, and dreams. Yet in a world more connected than ever, we are often losing the ability to truly listen and make one another feel heard. This album brings children and adults into an honest conversation. Children ask. Adults respond through lived experience, mistakes, memories, uncertainty, and hope. Put those two groups together and something rare happens almost immediately.

Questions, not interviews

We never scripted a session. A child asked what they were genuinely curious about. An elder answered without softening it. That honesty is the material the album is made from.

Music as the bridge

Songs hold things a transcript can't - hesitation, humour, the pause before an honest answer. Turning these exchanges into music let them travel further than the room they happened in.

Where it goes next

The album is out. What we're building now is the world around it: an archive of questions, listening sessions, school and aged-care partnerships, and a way for anyone to add their own question to the pile.
